Designer of original Apple mouse to talk at April 19th Health Technology Forum Conference!
Dennis Boyle, head of Health & Wellness at IDEO, the leading Silicon Valley design and innovation consultancy, will be one of the all-star speakers at the upcoming Health Technology Forum Conference held on April 19th in San Francisco.
IDEO focuses on something that innovative technologists often forget – improving user experience. According to Boyle, people “…don’t want something confusing … they want a product that does a few things really well.”
His “firsts” include playing key roles in designing Apple’s original mouse and the pioneer GRiD Compass notebook computer. He also holds over 50 patents, teaches design at Stanford’s engineering school and is the developer of the Tech Box tool which helps IDEO engineers develop innovative new designs.
At IDEO he oversees a wide range of health and wellness projects including the Ideal Home for Wounded Warriors, a technology-enabled home for disabled soldiers, and the Universal Ear system which uses mobile health tools to help minimally trained third world technicians fit hearing aids. At the conference, he will give examples and case studies about IDEO’s approach and how they have implemented projects in developing nations around the world.
We will be profiling many of the other mobile health leaders who will be speaking at the conference. Sign up now before the event sells out!
