experiMental: Tools to Help People in Mental and Behavioral Health

Individuals with mental and behavioral health disorders are a severely underserved, and often overlooked, community in healthcare. By utilizing technology to increase the awareness of mental health issues and stimulate innovation, more individuals can gain access to life-changing resources to better manage their mental health. Innovative technologies will also help providers more effectively engage and serve their mental health patients.

Next Generation Engagement

Empowering each of us through information, technologies, devices, support systems, and mobile solutions are a great way to initiate the process of behavioral change. True engagement and behavior change require continuously available, real-time, personalized and targeted nudging that is distinctive and meaningful to that person. The right tools and technologies for the right person at the right time can help create a culture of health and optimize care.

Healthy Aging and Resilience

Health is a skill whose excellence is acquired over time with appropriate help, guidance, and oversight. Technology allows us to monitor health conditions and promote and sustain health in the home, clinic, and workplace to add years to our lives and life to our years.

INNOVATION SHOWCASE

The invitation only INNOVATION SHOWCASE returns for HTFIC2018 and is aimed at connecting startup companies with members of the investment community to develop strategic partnerships and fundraising opportunities. It also provides companies high visibility and marketing presence at the conference via demo opportunities in the expo.

Last year included 14 health technology startups and many investment firms in attendance, including Mayfield Fund, Illumina Ventures, Johnson & Johnson Innovations, Summation Health Ventures, and Khosla Ventures.

From HWY 280 North or South:
  • Take the Sand Hill Road exit, head east
  • Turn right on Stock Farm Road
  • Turn right on Oak Road
  • Parking lot entrance on your right
From HWY 101 North or South:
  • Take Embarcadero Road West exit
  •  Follow Embarcadero Road, which turns into Galvez Street after El Camino Real
  • Turn right on Campus Drive
  • Turn right on Searville Road
  • Parking lot entrance on your left
Walking:
  • Follow pink color route on the map
  • Walking Distance: 0.5 miles (7-10 minutes walk)
Marguerite Shuttle:
  • Take HD (Hospital Direct) Line* (comes every 7-10 minutes)
  • Shuttle stop is next to the parking lot entrance
  • Get off at Campus Drive @ Cogen/Li Ka Shing
  • Return shuttle will be on the opposite side of drop off location
