William Wu, MD

Dr. William Wu is President, CEO and Co-founder of Herbheal Inc, a US based startup developing natural products for the treatment of chronic diseases.

Previously, he was Manager of HTS Team, and  led a high-throughput screening (HTS) program in the College of Veterinary Medicine at University of Georgia.

He was a staff scientist at Dept. of Cancer Biology at Scripps Research Institute in the U.S. Before that, Dr . Wu was an assistant research professor at Dept of Biochemistry, a post-doctoral fellow at Center for Genomics and Bioinformatics in Karolinska Institute in Sweden, and Harvard Medical School.

Dr. Wu has deep expertise in high-throughput assay development, including genome- wide RNAi screening, miRNA screening and drug library screening. He is also experienced in developing enhanced vaccine cell lines using gene editing, and developing natural products for the treatment of some chronic diseases, including gastrointestinal inflammation, sleep disorders, hypertension and amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis.
