Executive Director, National Cooperative Procurement Partners

Tammy served as Purchasing Agent for the City of San Diego, the 9th largest city in the nation and as Emergency Logistics Chief during the 2007 Witch Creek Fires that raged for 17 days and destroyed over 2000 homes.  Under her leadership, the City consolidated its warehouse operations, centralized all purchasing and contracting operations, and moved to a more customer focused approach.  Now, as the Executive Director of the National Cooperative Procurement Partners (NCPP), she is passionate about helping government and supplier clients take their cooperative procurement strategy to the next level.  As a keynote speaker, trainer and procurement consultant, Tammy strives to motivate and recognize great procurement teams across the nation and support their efforts in solving tough procurement problems.

With a Master’s degree in Public Administration, she also has a past corporate world experience and years of selling experience of a myriad of products and services – including electricity from a utilities company, computer systems for businesses, and even horses and wine.  Yep, that last part was right…even wine! She and her husband started Hacienda de las Rosas winery which operated a successful tasting room in Old Town, San Diego for many years. Tammy has the unique perspective of working in three different worlds – corporate, government and entrepreneurial.
