Eva Woo

Eva is a research, strategy, content design, communication and program management professional and entrepreneur with 15 years’ experience in social impact, business strategy, innovation education, industry research and media communication in the U.S. and China. She cofounded and led Sinovator, one of China’s first social innovation support platforms across the U.S. and China. She also cofounded MakeAPointX, a design-led social innovation lab. Currently she works on shared impact strategy and communications at Silicon Valley based accelerator and venture capital Ufrate. Before that she manages content at China Leadership Program at Cisco HQ, an executive education program infuencing top policy and business leaders from China, for 3 years.
Eva spent over a decade as a journalist, an investment researcher and an executive education program manager in China and the U.S. for media companies, investment firms, and technology companies including Bloomberg, Cisco, Mason Capital, The Washington Post, and Caixin. She is an effective communicator in both English and Chinese, with articles published in Wall Street Journal, BusinessWeek, Bloomberg, South China Morning Post, and top Chinese media outlets.

Eva holds an M.A. in economic journalism from New York University and a B.A. in international and intercultural communication from Peking University. In 2006, Eva was the first ever Wall Street Journal Asia Fellow from mainland China. Eva works in the intersection of social good, business strategy and public policy, seeking inter-sector solutions by applying technology and social innovation designs. She is passionate about understanding how innovation works.
