Elizabeth Oyekan, PharmD, FCSHP, CPHQ

Dr. Elizabeth Oyekan is the Co-Founder and Managing Principal at TGC Penrose, a Senior Advisor at Precision for Value, and a Faculty member at the Institute of Healthcare Improvement (IHI). As the Managing Principal at TGC Penrose, Dr. Oyekan focuses on providing leaders with insights and resources to create healthcare value and keeps them informed of clinical operations trends and practices impacting healthcare’s transition from volume to value. She is also the author of two new books (see www.tgcpenrose.com). Prior to these roles, Dr. Oyekan was the VP of Operations & Quality for KP Colorado, with an oversight of more than $1.5 billion budget & served more than 650,000 members in 28 medical offices. She provided oversight, direction, and decision making for Pharmacy, Behavioral Health, Call Center, Lab, LMP, Imaging, Medical Specialties, Nursing, Population & Prevention Services, Primary Care, Quality & Risk Management, Surgical Specialties, Women’s Health, and others. She has also held various leadership positions in pharmacy, perioperative services, and population management. Under Oyekan’s leadership, KPCO maintained its Medicare 5 star status.

Dr. Oyekan spent more than 25 years at Kaiser Permanente, where she led Pharmacy Services for the Southern California Region and the National Pharmacy Services organization, in addition to leading Medication Adherence research and programs nationally and authoring the leading medication adherence publication, B-SMART Tools 1 and 2.

Dr. Oyekan earned her Doctorate in Pharmacy Degree from the University of Southern California, completed her administrative & clinical residency at KP Los Angeles, and graduated from the executive leadership program at Harvard University. Dr. Oyekan is a member of many organizations including the NAHSE & currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Denver Hospice.
