HTF Annual Expo and Mingle – Vancouver, Jan. 24
After an event-packed 2016, HTF Vancouver hosted their first 2017 event Jan. 24, at the Offices of Fasken Martineau. The expo and mingle allowed about 30 attendees to network with professionals from all areas of the healthcare ecosystem – from major healthcare providers to small start-ups; investors to technology experts; to people passionate about improving the state of health care.
Set up throughout the event were two demos by companies Curatio – a mobile health company who proprietary matchmaking algorithms and private mobile social platform provide a solution to a costly medication adherence problem – and Fortify – a computer software company that focuses on creating reliable communication platforms and development methodologies to bring crash-free, reliable and secure mobile encryption systems to the healthcare market.
The demonstrators from Curatio showed how their app works for tracking medication adherence and for managing a user’s health with various types of personalized programs and up-to-date information at the touch of a user’s thumb. Their creative solution includes health education and daily tracking tools, all wrapped up in a social network for peer support. This helps users get both the information and encouragement they need to manage their health. For more information about Curatio, please contact Christopher Rowntree at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Fortify lives by an idea of Leonardo da Vinci’s: “Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication.” In their presentation, they listed off the advantages of their product – its speed, ability to share content, offline storage capabilities; its scalability and encryption strategies; its low cost and flexibility – and showed users how the software works. Not only do they use iOS and Android SDK for easy integration, but they also offer locally based metadata servers so virtually any data can be stored. Please contact Andrei Odeski at email@example.com with any questions regarding Fortify.
HTF would like to thank Platinum Sponsor Fasken Martineau, an international business law firm with offices throughout Canada and in London and Johannesburg, for their help in throwing the event.
